Toni Stockheim
Georg Anton Stockheim (born May 13, 1890 in Cologne ; † April 28, 1969 there ) was a German sculptor .
Life
Stockheim studied at the Kölner Kunstgewerbeschule (the later Kölner Werkschulen ) with Georg Grasegger , at the Düsseldorf Art Academy with Karl Janssen and at the Berlin Academy with Louis Tuaillon , who appointed him a master student and accepted him into his workshop. There he was involved in the two equestrian statues for the Hohenzollern Bridge .
From 1912 he was a freelance sculptor in Cologne and later (after 1937) he focused on ceramic work .
After the Second World War he was a lecturer at the Swiss art academies in Geneva and Zurich .
