The Tonsina Lake is a lake in the southern US state of Alaska .
The 14.2 km² large Tonsina Lake is located 55 km northeast of Valdez and 23 km southwest of Tonsina . It is a lake of glacial origin on the northern flank of the Chugach Mountains . The lake has a length in the south-north direction of 11.3 km and a maximum width of 1.9 km. The Tonsina River, fed by the Tonsina Glacier , flows through the lake in a northerly direction.
