Tony Bill

Tony Bill (born August 23, 1940 in San Diego , California ) is an American director, producer and actor.

Life

Tony Bill graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1962 with a major in English and Art. He began his career in the film business as an actor with his first role in 1963. He had numerous roles in various films and especially in series such as u. a. Bonanza . His acting work includes 60 productions.

In 1972 he made his debut as a film producer and two years later he won the Oscar for The Clou , together with Julia Phillips and Michael Phillips , which was awarded as "Best Film". In 1980 he made his debut as a film director with the film The Schoolyard Rats of Chicago . More than 30 film and television productions followed, in which he took over the direction. As an executive producer, he was most recently involved in Abgang mit Stil (2017).

Tony Bill is married for the second time and has two daughters.
