Anton (Tony) Habermayer (born January 31, 1950 in Rosenheim ) is a former German boxer.

Amateur career

Tony Habermayer was the 1973 German light welterweight amateur champion.

Professional career

On May 16, 1974 he made his professional debut and beat Ahmet Tosci by TKO in Hamburg in the fourth round. After another TKO victory, Habermayer initially ended his boxing career. It was not until May 14, 1980 that he returned to the boxing ring with a points win over the experienced Ethem Oezakalin. In January 1982 Tony Habermayer won the German welterweight championship with a point victory over Klaus Fuchs. In 1985 he lost the championship belt to the previously undefeated José Varela on points. After a victory over Antoon Verrips on March 30, 1985 Tony Habermayer ended his boxing career for good.
