Antonio "Tony" Muréna (born January 24, 1915 in Borgo Val di Taro , † January 29, 1971 in Le Vésinet ) was an Italian-French accordion player (and bandoneon player) and musette composer , who worked in France.

His parents immigrated to France in 1923 and they lived in Nogent-sur-Mer . He came to the accordion through an uncle and from the age of nine played at events and later in music halls and cabarets. In the 1930s he played - as an excellent bandoneon player - in many tango orchestras known at the time and had his own quintet. He played at the Hot Club de France in the 1940s and was so well known that Glenn Miller wanted to play with him, which his death prevented. In 1947 he played in Cambodia for King Sihanouk (who played the accordion himself) and toured South America, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. In 1949 he bought his own dance hall (Le Mirliton) in Paris. There also played Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt . In 1950 he met Astor Piazzolla in the USA . In 1958 he founded the Musette Orchestra of Radio Luxembourg and appeared on French television. With Jo Privat he presented the album Tangos et pasos éternels .

He wrote the classic musette waltz Indifférence (with Joseph Colombo).
