Top 12 (women) 2013/14
The Top 12 2013/14 was the twelfth French team championship in women's chess .
Champion was the Club d'Echecs d'Annemasse , while the defending champion Évry Grand Roque had to be content with fourth place. Last year, the Club de Migne Echecs , CEMC Monaco , Cercle d'Echecs de Strasbourg and Cercle d'Echecs de Villepinte rose from Nationale I. While Strasbourg, Villepinte and Monaco achieved relegation, Migne had to relegate together with the Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs . Since the class was increased to 14 teams for the coming season, only two teams were relegated this time.
For the reported team squads, see team squad of the top 12 (women) 2013/14 .
Game dates
The preliminary round took place in Mulhouse from May 9th to 11th, 2014 , and the final round on June 28th and 29th in Nice .
mode
The twelve participating clubs play five rounds in the Swiss system in the preliminary round . First, the number of team points decides on the placement (3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a defeat, 0 points for a defeat without a fight), then the direct comparison (if it was played), then the difference between winning and losing games and ultimately the number of winning games. The last four of the preliminary round are relegated to National I, while the top four qualify for the final round. This is carried out in the knock-out system , with third place also being played out.
