A torcedora or torcedora is a cigar roller or a cigar roller.

The term is not only used in Latin America but is now also used internationally in the literature on cigars . It only refers to professionals who make a long filler cigar entirely by hand.

Torcedores are professional (often female) cigar rollers that produce up to 200 large-format top-quality cigars per day entirely by hand. They are divided into seven performance classes depending on experience and skill and accordingly manufacture different formats (from Panatelas to Gran Coronas to the most difficult torpedo formats ). In addition to strict selection and longer maturation, manual production is the main quality feature of top-quality cigars, which distinguishes them from mechanical and cheaper mass production (such as short fillers ) in terms of taste and price.
