Tord Holmgren (born November 9, 1957 ) is a former Swedish football player .

career

Holmgren moved to IFK Göteborg in 1977 together with his brother Tommy . He played for the club until 1987 and was Swedish champion four times and won the Svenska Cup three times . He gained great fame with his goal to make it 1-0 in the 87th minute of the game in the 1982 UEFA Cup final first leg against Hamburger SV . A Swedish club won a European Cup for the first time with a 3-0 win in the second leg. In 1987 the title could be won again against Dundee United . After 245 first division games and 26 goals, he ended his career in 1987.

Holmgren also played 26 times for the Swedish national team .
