The monument of Alo-Bisucce is a Bronze Age megalithic complex near Tizzano in the municipality of Bilia on the island of Corsica . It was discovered in 1963 and excavated from 1964–1965 under the direction of Roger Grosjean .

Alo-Bisucce Tower

The core of the extensive walled monument, in which a fireplace and millstones were found, is evidently pretorrean in architecture. Later it was used by the torrenters .

A striking relic is the Torre from this era. The diameter of the tower, which has been preserved up to a height of 1.5 m, is eight meters. The former corridor vaults have been destroyed. In the entrance, a steep ramp, going to the left, once gave access to a higher level. In the central round cella with a diameter of 3.4 m, an area (1.2 × 0.75 m) is covered in the middle with fired clay slabs, which is bordered by raised stones. This area probably had an altar-like function. The cella is followed by three narrow aisles running at right angles along the main axes, which bend to the right between the cella and the outer wall within the wall, so that the floor plan is reminiscent of a (three-armed) swastika . The typical Torrean inventory points to the second half of the 2nd millennium BC. BC and corresponds to other archaeological sites from this era.
