Toshihiko Uchiyama ( Japanese 内 山 俊彦 , Uchiyama Toshihiko ; born October 21, 1978 in Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Uchiyama learned to play soccer on the school team at Reimei High School . He signed his first contract in 1998 with the Montedio Yamagata . The club played in the second highest league in the country, the Japan Football League . For the club he completed 207 games. In 2007 he moved to the first division club Vissel Kobe . For the club he completed 58 first division games. In 2010 he moved to the second division Ventforet Kofu . In 2010 he was runner-up with the club in the J2 League and was promoted to the J1 League . For the club he completed 53 games. In 2012 he moved to league competitor Vegalta Sendai . In 2012 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club. For the club he completed eight first division games. At the end of 2012 he ended his career as a football player.
