Toshiya Ishii ( Japanese 石井 俊 也 , Ishii Toshiya ; born January 19, 1978 in Shizuoka Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Ishii learned to play soccer on the school team at Shizuoka Gakuen High School . He signed his first contract with the Urawa Reds in 1996 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . At the end of the 1999 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League . In 2000 he was runner-up in the J2 League with the club and was promoted to the J1 League. In 2002 he reached the final of the J.League Cup . For the club he completed 141 games. In 2003 he moved to league rivals Vegalta Sendai . At the end of the 2003 season, the club was relegated to the J2 League. For the club he completed 42 games. In 2005 he moved to league rivals Kyoto Purple Sanga (today: Kyoto Sanga FC). In 2005 he was with the club master of the J2 League and rose to the J1 League. At the end of the 2006 season, the club rose again from the J2 League. At the end of the 2007 season, the club rose again to the J2 League. For the club he completed 72 games. In 2009 he moved to the second division Roasso Kumamoto . For the club he completed 43 games. In 2010 he moved to Fujieda MYFC . At the end of 2013, he ended his career as a football player.
