The Total TV Hockey League is an international ice hockey league that was set up in 2012 for clubs from the Balkans. The only season so far was canceled after only three games.

history

The four teams HK Bosna (from Bosnia and Herzegovina ), HK Skopje (from Macedonia ), Red Star Sofia (from Bulgaria ) and Iraklis Thessaloniki (from Greece ) had confirmed their participation. A total of six tournaments were planned, four of them in Skopje and two in Sarajevo . More games should take place in Sofia .

The league was under the administration of the Balkan Ice Hockey Union . Representatives of the IIHF had announced themselves for the opening game. Some of the games were played on a plastic surface.

The league was sponsored by Total TV , a television company from Macedonia . Therefore, the games were also broadcast on the Macedonian TV channel MTV1 ( МТВ1 ).

After three games, the league was canceled due to adverse circumstances. On the one hand, it was impossible for some participants to keep appointments due to winter conditions; on the other hand, after the collapse of the balloon ceiling of the ice rink in front of the Zetra Olympic Hall in Sarajevo, there was no replacement for the games planned there.
