Totonakisch (Tachiwin) is an indigenous language in Mexico , spoke of the ethnicity of the Totonac .

Together with Tepehua, Totonac belongs to the very small Totonac-Tepehua language family . Due to the geographical fragmentation of the language area, there are strongly differing regional variants. SIL International divides Totonac into nine individual languages.

Totonac is spoken by over 280,000 people, particularly in the Mexican states of Veracruz and Puebla .
