The Tottan Rock is a sea-washed reef rock in the archipelago of the Heard and McDonald Islands in the southern Indian Ocean . It is northeast of Rogers Head , the northern foothills of the Azorella Peninsula of Heard Island .
The rock is named after the Norwegian seal catcher MV Tottan , who served as a supply ship for the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions' campaign to Heard from 1952 to 1953 .
