Diana Vaisman ( Hebrew דיאנה ויסמן; * July 23, 1998 in Minsk ) is an Israeli sprinter .

Athletic career

Internationally, Diana Vaisman took part in the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht in 2013 and was eliminated in the first round over 100 and 200 meters with 12.82 s and 26.49 s respectively. Two years later, she made it to the semi-finals at the Youth World Championships in Cali in the 100-meter run , where she was eliminated with 11.79 s, while she was disqualified over 200 meters in the preliminary run. Before that she won the bronze medal in athletics at the European Games in Baku , where she won the B final over 100 meters in 12.02 s and came second in the relay in 45.23 s. In 2016, she also reached the semi-finals at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz over 100 meters and was eliminated there with 11.66 seconds before she gave up a start over 200 meters. The following year she took part in the 60-meter run at the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade , where she was eliminated with 7.54 s in the first round. Then she reached the semi-finals at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto over 100 meters and was eliminated there with 11.88 s, while she was in the 200-meter run and with the Israeli 4-by-100-meter relay with 24.85 s or 46.46 s in the preliminary round failed. In 2018 she won the silver medal over 100 meters at the U23 Mediterranean Championships in Jesolo in 11.59 seconds and only had to admit defeat to the Spaniard Paula Sevilla . In addition, she finished fourth with the relay in 47.06 s. Over 100 meters she qualified for the first time for the European Championships in Berlin , but was eliminated there with 11.61 s in the first round.

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow in 2019 , she reached the semifinals over 60 meters and was eliminated there with 7.32 s and previously won the bronze medal in 7.45 s at the U23 Mediterranean Indoor Championships in Miramas, behind the Spaniard Sevilla and Mizgin Ay from Turkey. In July she finished fourth over 100 meters at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 11.48 s and also qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where she was eliminated with 11.39 s in the lead .

From 2017 to 2019 Vaisman was the Israeli champion in the 100-meter run and in 2014, 2017 and 2018 also over 200 meters.
