TouchWiz from Samsung for Android

TouchWiz is a user interface that was developed by Samsung Electronics with partners for in-house smartphones . It is sometimes mistakenly called the operating system. TouchWiz is used internally by Samsung for sophisticated feature phones and tablets and is not licensed to third parties.

The latest version of TouchWiz, TouchWiz 6.0, has been released on the Galaxy S6 . It has a more refined user interface than the previous version, 5.0, on the Galaxy S5 . Among other things, some apps, such as The design of the alarm clock, for example, has been revised and simpler, and the performance is significantly better.

In addition to Android smartphones and tablets, TouchWiz also runs on the proprietary Samsung operating system bada and Tizen OS.

TouchWiz was renamed to Samsung Experience with Android 7.0 Nougat , and since December 24, 2018, a new user interface for supported devices has been available with the successor One UI .
