The Tour Atlas ( German : Atlas Tower ) also known as Tour de Droixhe or at its address 2 Avenue de Lille , is a residential tower in the Belgian city of Liège , capital of the province of the same name . The tower is in close proximity to the Maas .

Construction work on the tower was completed in 1978. Since its completion, the building with its 87 meters spread over 29 floors has been the tallest building in the city and the region and is also one of the tallest buildings in the country . It is expected to lose this title at the end of 2014 to the Tour des Finances de Liège , which is currently being built in downtown Liège.

The tower serves exclusively as a residential tower.
