Tour Hekla , formerly also known as Tour rose de Cherbourg , is the name of a skyscraper under construction in the Paris suburb of Puteaux in the office district of La Défense . Construction began in 2018. The high-rise is expected to be completed in 2022. The skyscraper will have 76,000 m², spread over 51 floors. When completed in 2022, the skyscraper will be the second tallest building in La Défense. Only Tour First will measure 11 meters more than Tour Hekla at 231 meters. However, since Tour Hekla is being built on a hill, the office tower including the hill at 252 meters will dominate the skyline of La Défense and ultimately tower above Tour First. As part of the upgrading of the Secteur de la Rose de Cherbourg, the 75 meter high Résidence Rose de Cherbourg with 402 apartments was built next door between 2016 and 2018 .

The construction costs are estimated at 248 million euros.

The office tower is the Metro station La Defense and the La Defense station to the public transport in the Paris bound.
