Tour Initiale (previously Tour Nobel , Tour Aventis , Tour Hoechst and Tour PB11 ) is the name of a high-rise in the Paris suburb of Puteaux in the office district of La Défense . The 109 meter high building was opened in 1967. It was the first building over 100 meters in La Défense. The building has 30 floors and an area of approximately 34,300 square meters. The building was designed by the architects Jean de Mailly, Robert Giudici and Jacques Depussé, who were doing this from Lever House in New York Cityget inspired. The curved windows on the edges were a novelty in France at the time - it was the first building in France to be equipped with them. The windows were specially imported from the USA for this purpose.

The skyscraper was extensively renovated from 2001 to 2003. The design comes from the Paris architecture firm Valode et Pistre. As part of the renovation, the building was renamed Tour Initiale.

The office tower is connected to public transport in the greater Paris area with the Esplanade de la Défense metro station and La Défense train station.
