Tour de Méré

The Tour de Méré in Chaussy , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 15th century. The fortified tower belongs to a farm belonging to the former Domaine du manoir de Méré , which was destroyed in a fire in 1822.

The round tower has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1927 .

The walls of the tower are 90 to 95 cm thick, the staircase has been preserved inside. The curtain wall is also still there.
