The 5th Tour of Almaty 2017 was a Kazakh road cycling race in the Almaty region . The stage race took place on September 30th and October 1st, 2017 . In addition, the bike race was part of the UCI Asia Tour 2017 and was classified in category 2.1 . The overall winner was Alexei Lutsenko from Kazakhstan from Astana Pro Team .

The winner of the first stage at the Almaty Arena was Alexei Lutsenko (Kazakhstan / Astana), who was able to pull away from the field 20 kilometers from the finish. Lutsenko also took over the overall standings. Frenchman Rémy Di Gregorio (Delko) followed 19 seconds behind .

On the second stage, the Dane Jakob Fuglsang won , who was able to pull away from a small group on the mountain finish a few kilometers from the finish. His team-mate Lutsenko won the overall classification of this tour.
