The Toyota Kreditbank GmbH (TKG) is a German bank based in Cologne , was established on 14 April 1988th The headquarters of the company is located together with the German importer Toyota Deutschland on Toyota-Allee in Cologne-Marsdorf. The credit institute is a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Financial Services Corporation , Nagoya, and thus part of the Toyota Group, headquartered in Toyota, Japan.

Business areas

Toyota Kreditbank is a German car Bank , the new cars vehicles of Toyota and Lexus financed for used cars mainly Toyota and Lexus vehicles. The range of services corresponds to that of a specialist bank, as the business model is largely geared towards sales and dealer financing for the relevant brands. As a result, business development is essentially dependent on the development of car sales in the business area. The sales financing of the Toyota Kreditbank Group is in competition with other specialist banks as well as universal banks and savings banks. The range of financing products in Germany includes loan agreements, final installment financing and the sale of leasing products. The product range is being expanded to include package products that are offered in cooperation with Toyota Insurance Management SE, Cologne and Aioi Nissay Dowa Life Insurance of Europe AG, Ismaning, and with Toyota Motor Europe SA / NV Brussels / Belgium.

Locations

TKG operates in Europe with branches in France, Sweden, Spain, Norway, Portugal and two subsidiaries in Poland and Russia. In addition, Koromo SA, Luxembourg, is the special purpose vehicle of the TKG. The shareholders in the special purpose vehicle are three Dutch foundations. In addition to TKG, Toyota Financial Services UK also operates as a sister institution with several offices in Europe.

Comparison with other automobile banks

TKG took 71st place among the 100 largest German credit institutions in 2018. TKG was the fourth largest among the German automotive banks after Volkswagen Bank , Mercedes Benz Bank and BMW Bank with total assets of nine billion euros.
