Toyotomi Hidetsugu

Toyotomi Hidetsugu ( Japanese 豊 臣 秀 次 , also: Hashiba Hidetsugu ( 羽 柴 秀 次 ); * 1568 ; † 1595 ) was the son of a half-sister of Toyotomi Hideyoshis . Since Hideyoshi himself was childless, he adopted Hidetsugu and made him his heir. He appointed him Imperial Regent ( Kampaku ) and Chancellor to the Left ( Sadaijin ). As Hideyoshi still a biological son was born, he accused Hidetsugu of treason and forced him Sepukku to commit.
