As dacryoadenitis (dacryoadenitis) inflammation (refers adenitis ) of the lacrimal gland associated with a painful swelling of the upper lids associated. The inflammation usually occurs on one side and is sometimes associated with abscess formation . This abscess formation is also known as a tear fistula . Lacrimal inflammation can occur with mumps or when a so-called stye has formed.
