The Tragic Corner is a 750 m high cliff in Graham land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It forms the northeastern end of the Boulding Ridge between the Todd Glacier and the McClary Glacier on the Fallières coast .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1971 after the fatal accident of vehicle mechanic John Fraser Noel (1942–1966) and radio operator Thomas John Allan (1940–1966) during a British Antarctic Survey dog sled ride near the cliff in May 1966 .
