Tralles is an impact crater on the northeastern front of the moon , north of the Mare Crisium , northwest of the large crater Cleomedes , the rim of which it partially overlays. The rim of the crater has grooves and traces of landslides on the inside.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German physicist Johann Georg Tralles .
