Trama

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The trama ( Latin trāma , warp thread, 'fabric', 'spider web') is the flesh ( plectenchyma ) of the fruiting body of mushrooms , i.e. the hat and stem , but not the mycelium . A distinction is sometimes made between stem and hat trama. The name refers to the net-like structure of the mushroom flesh.

In the narrower sense, this only includes the sterile hyphae of the tubular and leaf mushrooms , excluding the surface tissue .
