Tramway Ridge ( English for Tram Ridge ) is a 3450 m high mountain ridge on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises in the northwestern part of the summit caldera of Mount Erebus . It consists of walls that have piled up as a result of a still young lava flow and are reminiscent of the tracks of a tram .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names made the descriptive naming in 2000.
