Nina Gladitz

Nina Gladitz (* 1946 in Kirchzarten ) is a German documentary - director .

Nina Gladitz took an active part in the fight against the Wyhl nuclear power plant in Baden around 1975 and made the documentary film Lieber heute aktiv als radioaktiv about it in 1976 , which was premiered in Denmark in 1980.

In 1982 she documented the genesis of Leni Riefenstahl's feature film Tiefland for Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) , with a focus on the fate of the around one hundred Sinti and Roma who were used as extras there . In 1985 she was sued by Leni Riefenstahl, who wanted to push through several deletions of film passages. In 1987, the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court dismissed the lawsuit on several counts, and on two counts it was upheld.
