Tranqueras is a city in northern Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the area of the Departamento Rivera ( 3rd sector ) south-southwest of the departmental capital of the same name on Ruta 30 , through which Tranqueras is connected to the northwestern city of Artigas .
history
On October 15, 1963 Tranqueras was the Ley 5335 of status as Villa awarded.

In terms of traffic, the city is connected to the road network via Ruta 30, as well as via Ruta 5 , which runs east of the city in a north-south direction .
