The Tranquil Valley ( English for Quiet Valley ) is an exposed by glacier retreat Valley on Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is east of Tranquil Lake .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey took from 1947 to 1950 surveys before. Aerial photographs were taken in 1968 by the Royal Navy . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the valley in 2004 based on the naming of the neighboring lake.
