The transformer station Diesdorf is a listed building in the Magdeburg district of Diesdorf in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it has been listed as a monument since March 2, 2003 under registration number 094 71124 .

General

The monument consists of two different buildings erected in 1925, the tool shed and the official residence. Both buildings are connected to one another by a round arched connecting corridor. You are at the address Diesdorfer Graseweg 6 in Magdeburg.

Tool shed

The tool shed is a tower-like clinker building with a very flat gable . The corners of the building are emphasized by flat pilaster strips and the eaves area is highlighted like an architrave. Raised rectangular windows illuminate the interior of the building. The style of the building, with its restrained neoclassical hints, is based on the industrial architecture by Peter Behrens from the time before the First World War .

Official residence

The official residence is located to the right of the tool shed as seen from the street. It is a two-story clinker building with a hipped roof . The building was built in the homeland security style.
