Transported Asset Protection Association

The Transported Asset Protection Association TAPA is an industrial association based in the Netherlands . The focus of the activity is the articulation of particular interests vis-à-vis the institutions of national and European politics in the European Union , in particular customs policy and the policy of clearing trade goods on cross-border transport routes.

TAPA reduces the loss of valuable goods in production , transport and distribution. The aim of TAPA is to set up and maintain tried and tested best procedures and methods for industry and their logisticians and freight service providers

Goal setting

The purpose of TAPA is to provide industry-wide proven solutions for the requirements of member organizations. This includes sharing the experience and processes that are not proprietary to the member companies in order to increase the efficiency of security in selected areas, including these processes in order to reduce losses from theft .

In terms of content, the practical work of the advocacy group is focused on, among other things

The certification is carried out by accredited certification bodies such as Bureau Veritas , LRQA or SGS .
