Transylvania 90210 is the first solo album by the American rock musician Wednesday 13 . It was released on April 12, 2005 by the Roadrunner Records label, as was the first single, I Walked with a Zombie .

Style & content

The genre of the album is horror punk , which, according to Allmusic, is based on many other "horror metal bands" (e.g. Marilyn Manson ). The production is too "clinical", although the instruments are played "technically flawlessly".

reception

Allmusic thinks the album sounds too imitation:

"Longtime admirers of the aforementioned artists will have heard it all before."

"Long-term fans of the aforementioned [in the entire review] bands will have heard all of this before"

- Greg Prato

aversionline.com thinks the album sounds “boring”, which is also due to the “clinical” sound, vampster.com sees it the same way and thinks that the record flows past the listener.
