Monastery Maromby (also Monastera Masina Maria Maromby ; lat. Monasterium Beatae Mariae de Maromby ) since 1958, a monastery of Trappist monks in Fianarantsoa ( Madagascar ), Archdiocese of Fianarantsoa .
history
The Mont des Cats monastery (represented by Abbot Achille Nivesse) founded the Trappist monastery Maromby ( Monastera Masina Maria ) requested by Archbishop Xavier Ferdinand Thoyer SJ in Fianarantsoa in Madagascar in 1958 , which was elevated to a priory in 1967 and an independent priory in 2002.
