Trepassey Island is a small and rocky island off the Fallières coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 1 km southeast of Stonington Island in Neny Bay .
Several islands in this area were roughly mapped in the British Graham Land Expedition (1934-1937) and the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) surveyed this island in 1947 and named it. It is named after the ship MV Trepassey , which dar FIDS used to set up its base on Stonington Island in 1946.
