The staircase on Clifton Street is an exterior staircase in the Scottish city ​​of Glasgow . In 1970 it was included as an individual monument in the Scottish monument lists, initially in category B. The upgrade to the highest monument category A took place in 1986. Furthermore, the building is part of a more comprehensive monument ensemble of category A.

The structure was completed around 1855. It was built around the same time as the nearby staircase on Park Street designed by the Scottish architect Charles Wilson . It leads from Woodland Terrace to the lower-lying Clifton Street and forms the end of the cul-de-sac between the building ensembles 1-6 Park Gardens and 1-12 Claremont Terrace . The staircase leads from Woodland Terrace to a dais where it splits into two flights of stairs that run parallel to Clifton Street. It is designed with a stone balustrade along the platform . The massive pillars along the balustrade are made of granite . Cast iron railings flank the upper section of the stairs.
