from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trials Evolution is a downloadable 2½D platform racing game developed by RedLynx and published by Microsoft Studios on April 18, 2012. The player controls a motorcyclist when crossing obstacles. Trials Evolution Gold Edition was released on March 21, 2013.

Gameplay

Single player

In Trials Evolution, the player controls a motorcyclist from the beginning to the end of a course, with a series of obstacles to overcome. The aim is to complete the course as quickly as possible and with as few accidents as possible. The game uses 3D graphics, but is only played on a 2D plane, so you can only move the driver forwards and backwards. The player can also control the incline of the motorcycle at slow speed or in the air. There are 50 single player levels included in the game.

Multiplayer

Trials Evolution includes a multiplayer mode that allows up to four players to play on the same system or over the Internet. Only so-called "Supercross-Maps" can be played on one device, on which four motorcycles can ride side by side. These maps can also be played online, but you can also play normal maps where the opponents only appear as ghosts. You can view your statistics on the Internet or Xbox LIVE, such as B. achieved medals and earned money, with those of his friends compare. The player can compare himself with friends in the leaderboard as well as with all players in worldwide lists.

editor

Players can design their own routes in the in-game editor and then drive them on and share them with others online. This time players have two variants of the editor available. The Lite Editor is similar to the one in Trials HD in that players can create courses in a user-friendly manner. The game also offers a pro editor in which you have full access to the creation of content. In this, the players can not only use the functions of the Lite Editor, but also create courses in the visual programming language with completely different scenarios.

continuation

On April 16, 2014 RedLynx released the successor game Trials Fusion for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4. The game was released as a download as well as a retail version. In addition to the normal game, the retail version includes some extra game content and a season pass for planned additional game content. With Trials Rising , another part of the series was released in February 2019.
