history
The association was founded in 1993 under the name Aiolos Trikalon . In 2008 the club rose to the fourth class Gamma Ethniki and managed to finish the season first in the table in the first year. In the following season 2009/2010 Trikala ended the season again as the table first and rose as a result. Two years later, the club won the championship and in 2012 rose to the second-rate A2 Ethniki . At the beginning of the 2012/2013 season the club was renamed Trikala BCinstead of. At the end of the season Trikala reached second place and was promoted to the A1 Ethniki .
After four wins from 26 games in the 2017/18 season , the club was relegated from the basket league as bottom of the table .
