Trio Saphiro

The trio Saphiro is a chamber music ensemble with the occupation soprano , oboe and harp . It is the only ensemble with this line-up in German-speaking countries.

history

The Trio Saphiro was founded in 2008. The founding members are the 1st solo oboist of the Jena Philharmonic , Gunter Sieberth , the Meiningen soprano Anna Gann and the Frankfurt harpist Bettina Linck. It has appeared in various concert series and chamber music festivals , including a. at the Eckelshausener Musiktage , the Gießen Master Concerts , in the chamber music series of the Jena Philharmonic and in the Musikzauber Franken series of the Bavarian Radio. Christine Leipold, principal obiosta of the Meininger Hofkapelle , has been a member of Trio Saphiro since January 2016 .

Since there is little original literature for the rare line-up of soprano, oboe and harp, the ensemble mainly makes its own versions of works by various composers, among others. a. by Georg Friedrich Händel , Antonio Vivaldi , Carl Gottlieb Reissiger , Petr Eben , and Eva Dell'Acqua. An original work for soprano, oboe and harp is the piece Tears, Idle Tears by the American composer David Morton, born in 1920. For the Trio Saphiro, the composer and arranger Andreas N. Tarkmann arranged the aria rest gently, my lovely life from the singspiel Zaide by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart . It premiered in 2009.
