Eckelshausen Music Days

The Eckelshausen Music Days are an international chamber music festival that takes place annually in May and June in Eckelshausen , Marburg-Biedenkopf district . First organized in 1987 by the founder Annemarie Gottfried-Frost , the artistic direction of the 10-day event is now with the renowned cellist Julius Berger .

Artist

National and international artists and groups, such as the Philharmonia Schrammeln of the Vienna Philharmonic , the Vienna Boys' Choir , the Potsdam Chamber Academy , Christian Altenburger , Gunther Rost , the Korean Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra , the Duo Tal Groethuysen , Ib Hausmann , Norman Shetler , Puppet Players , Gilead Mishory , Alina Pogostkina , Martin Stadtfeld , Vogler-Quartett and the Ensemble for Early Music Augsburg appear at the festival.

Venues

In addition to the Schartenhof, the festival venues are the glass pavilion of the Velte company and the church in Eckelshausen, the atrium of the Roth-Werke in Buchenau , Wittgenstein Castle in Bad Laasphe , the old auditorium in the town hall in Biedenkopf , the collegiate church in Wetter , the monastery church in Caldern and the Martinskirche in Dautphe .
