Tripping Daisy was a power pop band formed in 1990 in Dallas by Tim DeLaughter, Wes Berggreen, Mark Pirro and Jeff Bouck. The band released 4 albums and 3 EPs until they broke up in 1999 after the death of guitarist Wes Berggreen.
The commercial breakthrough came with the second album I'm an Elastic Firecracker , which was released by Iceland. The last album Tripping Daisy was released after the death of Wes Berggreen.
The band members Tim DeLaughter, Mark Pirro, Bryan Wakeland and Jeff Bouck founded The Polyphonic Spree in 2000 , drummer Ben Curtis together with his brother Brandon The Secret Machines .
