Triton (culture award)

Triton is a culture award from the city of Forchheim , which has been awarded since 2009. The name Triton is derived from the sea god of the same name and was chosen because of a wall painting in Forchheim Castle . The prize is usually awarded annually by the Society for the Promotion of Culture in Forchheim in conjunction with the City of Forchheim. The original prize money of 2,500 euros was increased to 3,000 euros in 2011 with the participation of Sparkasse Forchheim . Prize winners receive a bronze sculpture designed by Harro Frey .
