Eilean Trodday ( Scottish Gaelic : Tròndaigh , from Old Norwegian , German: "Thronds Cape"), also called Trodday , is an uninhabited island in the north of the Inner Hebrides in Scotland . It is located 1.6 km north of Cape Rubha na h-Aiseig on the Trotternish Peninsula on Skye and has an area of 38 hectares .
The highest point Trodday with 45 meters is in the north of the island. This point is the site of the lighthouse Eilean Eilean Trodday Light , which in 1908 by Charles Alexander Stevenson was built.
On June 1, 2006, the trawler Brothers BF 138 ran aground on Trodday. Two crew members died in the process.
