Trois-Rivières Attak is a former Canadian football club from Trois-Rivières . For the 2010 season, the team does not take part in the game operations of the Canadian Soccer League .
Until the 2010 season, the team acted as youth and reserve team for the USSF D2 Pro League club Montreal Impact . In 2009 Impact founded the Montreal Impact Academy and the cooperation agreement with Trois-Rivières Attak ended.
history
founding
On November 15, 2006, Montreal Impact announced the creation of a farm team in Trois-Rivières . The name would be chosen through a competition. On January 17, 2007, the name and the official logo were presented to the public. On the same day the contract players were introduced ( Nicolas Lesage and Jean-Louis Bessé ).
First season
The team was a surprise in their first season. She was competitive in the Canadian Soccer League from the start . They won the Open Canada Cup when they beat Columbus Clan FC 3-0 in the final . In the league they reached second place and thus qualified for the playoffs , where they finally lost in the semifinals against the Serbian White Eagles .
Striker Nicolas Lesage was the top scorer at the 2007 CSL with 16 goals .
