Cristian Nuñez (born July 7, 1988 in Montreal ) is a Canadian football player.
Career
Nuñez played in his youth with Montreal Concordia (U-13 to U-18). Here he won the Ballon d'Or Trophy of the Quebec Elite Soccer League . While playing for NTC Ontario , he won the silver medal at the U-15 selection championships in 2003. The following season he won the gold medal.
In July 2006, Nuñez signed his first professional contract with Lyn Oslo . However, he was not shown because of difficulties with his visa. It meant that he could only spend four months at his club. In 2007 Nuñez signed with Toronto FC , where he did not play a regular season game. But he played 13 games for the reserve team, where he was able to book an assist against the reserve team of the New England Revolution .
The following season, Nuñez was fired from Toronto FC and moved to Montreal Impact in the First Division . Shortly after his signature at Montreal, he was loaned to the Trois-Rivières Attak farm team . Nuñez helped Trois-Rivières Attak end the regular season as leaders of the Canadian Soccer League for the first time. In the championship final they lost to the Serbian White Eagles 1: 2 on penalties.
In February 2009, Nuñez completed a trial training at Bohemians Dublin , but received no contract and after the end of his membership at Montreal Impact joined the Montreal Carabins , the soccer team of the University of Montreal . After graduating from university, he joined the Quebec Premier Soccer League (QPSL) club AS Blainville.
National team career
Nuñez was part of the Canadian U-20 national team and took part in the 2007 Junior World Cup . He played in the first two group matches against Chile and Austria.

Nuñez is of Ecuadorian descent and is studying at the University of Montreal .
