Trovit is a vertical search engine specializing in job, car and property searches and is present in 20 countries. The company is based in Barcelona , Spain.

Trovit searches for classifieds on thousands of websites, enabling users to find the auto, job and real estate advertisements that interest them through a single search engine.

Companies

The company was founded at the end of 2006 by Iñaki Ecenarro, Raul Puente, Daniel Giménez and Enrique Domínguez and is financially supported by private investors. In December 2007 Trovit Spain and Trovit UK went online as search engines for classified ads in the fields of jobs, real estate and cars. This was followed by launches in 18 other countries: Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Holland, Poland, Argentina, Chile, Austria, Switzerland, USA, Ireland, Australia, Canada, Colombia and India.

In April 2008 the Trovit team was Winner of the Red Herring 100 Europe award . In December of the same year the search engine was among the finalists of the Eurecan , a competition organized by the Caja Navarra for the "best business idea in Europe".

In November 2014 Trovit was bought by the Japanese Lifull Group.

Website

As a web application or mashup , Trovit searches for all relevant classified ads in the German real estate, car and job market. When it comes to real estate, Trovit uses Google Maps to better localize the houses and apartments for sale or rent.
