Troy Castaneda

Troy Castaneda (born November 15, 1989 in Mountain View ) is an American racing driver .

Career

Castaneda began his motorsport career in karting in 2005 and stayed in this sport until 2006. In 2007 he switched to the single-seater racing and entered the Formula Russell on. He won three races and was fourth in the drivers' championship. In 2008 Castaneda took part in two races in Europe in the Italian Formula Master . In 2009 he started in the Jim Russell Racing Drivers School Championship and also returned to karting for this season and the next.

In 2011 Castaneda tested in the Indy Lights for Bryan Herta Autosport . He was finally given a cockpit for the first Indy Lights race of the 2012 season at Bryan Herta Autosport. In this he reached ninth place and was finally signed for another race. In the further course of the season he was no longer used. He was 19th in the drivers' championship.
