Hercules Troyden Prinsloo (born November 16, 1985 ) is a South African swimmer specializing in long freestyle courses . He won three gold medals at the African Games in 2007.

successes

In Algiers in 2007 he won the 400, 800 and 1500 m freestyle. He beat the Tunisian Ahmed Mathlouthi (3: 55.75) over 400 m in 3: 55.29 min and over 800 and 1500 m (8: 02.84, 15: 24.93) his compatriot Riaan Schoeman (8 : 11.23, 15: 58.31).

A year earlier he won bronze over 1500 m in 15: 11.88 min (gold David Davies (14: 57.63), silver Andrew Hurd (15: 09.44)) and in the Pan at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne Pacific Swimming Championships of the same year silver in 7: 56.82 in the 800 m freestyle behind Andrew Hurd (7: 55.88) and in front of Ryan Cochrane (7: 58.32).

Without any particular success, Prinsloo took part in the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 and in London in 2012 .

At the Midmar Mile , one of the world's largest open water events, he achieved the best time ever swum with 17:47 minutes.

In 2015 Prinsloo trained swimmers in the United Arab Emirates .
