history
The American fashion label True Religion Apparel Inc. was founded in 2002 by the married couple Denn Jeffrey and Kim Lubell. The first True Religion Store opened in Los Angeles in December 2002 .
In 2008 there were 21 True Religion stores in the US . True Religion jeans are characterized by their pronounced pockets and buttons. The True Religion logo shows a buddah playing guitar , or an embroidered horseshoe on the back pockets .
The label became known through American stars who wore these jeans at events. The jeans are located in the high-price segment, with prices of up to $ 400 per pair of jeans are not uncommon.
True Religion is a public company and is listed on the Nasdaq under the name TRLG. In 2007 the company had net sales of $ 173.256 million.
